Angelic Full Moon Retreat at Damires Hills by The Local Travel Girl

Hi everyone! It’s The Local Travel Girl!
After weeks of being caught up in work, I found myself craving realignment with my faith, my direction, and my inner self. Last September 7, I was blessed with the chance to do just that at the Angelic Full Moon Retreat held at Damires Hills Farms and Resort, hosted by Ilaya Retreat Spa.
Upon arrival, each of us received a special kit that included:
- Angelic journal + notepad
- Ballpen
- Candles
- Angelic-scented spray
- Massage coupon
- Angelic card reading coupon

The retreat was beautifully led by Tito Atho De la Cruz, co-hosted by Miss Bam, and joined by Miss Princess Buendia, an Angelologist from Hawaii who reminded us that we are never truly alone. She spoke about how angels are always sent by God to guide and protect us, and how through prayer and meditation, we can recognize their presence more deeply.
One phrase that really struck me was:
“If the universe gives you in excess, ask why the universe is giving it to you, and how you can help others with it.”
It was a beautiful reminder that we are called to be blessings to others.
After the talk, we enjoyed a heartfelt Damires-style merienda with suman, mango slices, and hot tablea. We connected with fellow attendees, sharing stories and experiences in an atmosphere of openness and acceptance. While others were getting their Access Bar done, my partner and I had the chance to receive an angel card reading from Miss Princess Buendia. Her insights were incredibly accurate and aligned with what other card readers had told us before.

As the evening continued, we shared dinner before moving into the healing ceremonies. The sound healing session invited us to release our burdens by writing them down, burning them, and giving them back to the universe. Then came the Cacao ceremony, where we prayed, set intentions, and drank the sacred cacao to seal our requests.
That night was special because it aligned with the Blood Moon, and although the skies were stormy at first, they eventually cleared, blessing us with a magical view. We even brought our crystals and charged them under the full moonlight.
To end the night, we stayed at the newly opened Heliconia Premier Room in Damires Hills, a cozy and refreshing space that made the whole experience even more memorable.

This retreat was more than just an event. It was a reminder to pause, realign, and trust in the guidance that is always around us.
